  (1) What is the Knowledge that Maharaji teaches?
For those who wish to make inner peace a reality in their lives, Maharaji offers a practical experience, which he calls Knowledge. Knowledge consists of four simple techniques for finding peace within. "What I offer people is not just talk," he says, "but a way to go inside and savor the peace that is within." More than 500,000 people have been taught these techniques by Maharaji.
  (2) Is this like meditation?
Maharaji answered this question:
"You could say this is the meditation. But it is far beyond meditation,
because it is not just contemplating a thought or trying to control your mind or control your thinking. This is like a person who is hot and dirty, jumping into a beautiful, cool, crystal clear pond. The difference is how refreshing it is. To be refreshed every moment. To appreciate. In a way, it is the meditation. But it's not meditation because it's much beyond meditation. It is not trying to control or conquer something. It is appreciating something. Big difference."
  (3) Is Knowledge for everyone?
Not necessarily, but it is for everyone who wants the experience that it offers. And it does require that a person feel and recognize his or her own thirst for that experience.
  (4) Does Knowledge require a certain lifestyle?
Is it related to Indian culture? Maharaji's Knowledge is compatible with and independent of any lifestyle, culture, religion, or belief system.
  (5) Is there any charge or condition for learning the techniques of Knowledge?
The techniques of Knowledge are taught free of charge without regard to a person's gender, economic or social status, sexual preference, lifestyle, race, culture, religious or ethnic background. People must be 18 years old or the local legal age in order to prepare and be taught these techniques.
  (6) If I am interested in the techniques of Knowledge, what is the next step?
Maharaji's addreses are a rich source of inspiration. Many people, as they come to hear him again and again, experience great joy as they uncover the depth behind his words. While some people feel satisfied just listening to him, others want to experience for themselves the peace within that Maharaji says is possible. For those, Maharaji offers a practical way to that peace—four techniques he calls Knowledge. If you wish to discover more about what Knowledge is and how to prepare to learn these techniques, you can read a brochure or watch a video named "Discovering More", which clarify further what Maharaji is offering. They are also available in print and DVD versions. More information on how to get them is available here.

Before learning these techniques, there is a period of preparation that may take from three to five months. The preparation involves viewing video materials called "The Keys." There are six Keys. The first five consist of a presentation by Maharaji and approximately ten to twelve hours of supporting video material.

After watching the first five Keys, you can ask to be shown the techniques of Knowledge, which are taught in the sixth Key in a special session. These sessions take place in many countries around the world on scheduled dates each year.

If you are interested in entering the Keys process, visit: www.thekeys.maharaji.net.

  (8) Is a daily practice required?
To reap the fruits of Knowledge requires commitment and a sustained effort. It is recommended that those learning the techniques practice them at least one hour each day and keep growing in their understanding of what is offered.

  (9) Is Knowledge a solution to one's problems?
Knowledge does not remove problems; it enables a person to go inside and find the peace that resides within. A person should not look to Knowledge to solve problems or to replace appropriate medical diagnosis and treatment of any medical problem (whether physical or mental).
  (10) Is there a requirement to join something or contribute financially?
No, there is nothing to join and no obligation to contribute financially either during the preparation process or after a person receives these techniques. There are registration fees to attend some of the larger events, but both the fee and attendance are voluntary. Donations are sometimes requested at local events to help cover such costs as meeting room space or audiovisual equipment, but giving is always a matter of voluntary choice. Admission is never denied because of inability to contribute.
